Facilities Manager - San Diego, CA
This role requires white glove service experience, with a strong background in managing Class A facilities. The Facilities Manager will ensure that operations meet the highest standards of quality, service, and safety, while providing support to Property Managers in managing repairs and investment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to the team, including monitoring staff training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and offering coaching. Manage the recruitment and hiring process for new employees.
- Organize and manage the team’s daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring staff cross-training. Track departmental goals and deadlines. Provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee facility repairs and maintenance, ensuring top-tier service delivery through collaboration with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain strong client relationships and address unresolved facility issues with a focus on exceptional service. Regularly meet with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any facility-related concerns.
- Manage and prepare capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports, ensuring alignment with Class A facility standards and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Recommend operational improvements, upgrades, and repairs that align with Class A expectations.
- Ensure adherence to environmental health and safety procedures across the facility, maintaining a safe and compliant environment for all occupants.
- Oversee vendor relationships with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness, including reviewing price quotes for parts, services, and labor for various projects. Manage invoicing and procurement procedures with precision.
- Lead training sessions on maintenance procedures, repairs, and safety best practices to ensure the team delivers "white glove" service at all times.
- Set a positive example for the team, promoting behaviors aligned with the company’s core values and fostering a culture of excellence. Facilitate collaboration to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Leverage expertise in facility management to resolve day-to-day operational issues, contributing to process improvements and maintaining high service levels.
